Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how The Last Detail ("The Last Detail," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information through getthelastdetail.com, the guided organizer, account and support features, generated materials, optional integrations, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). It applies to website visitors, account holders, purchasers, and people who communicate with us.

The Last Detail is operated by Aundraya Ruse, a sole proprietor doing business as The Last Detail.

This Policy does not govern a third-party website, service, payment platform, or optional integration that processes information under its own privacy notice. Our Terms of Service govern use of the Service.

Account and authentication information. We collect your email address, account identifier, authentication and sign-in records, account status, and information used to secure and administer your account.

Organizer and profile content. We collect the information you choose to enter, which may include names, relationships, telephone numbers, addresses, contacts, advisers, document locations, institution names, account types and last four digits, property and household information, insurance and benefits information, notes about dependents, children, pets, health-related circumstances, digital life, personal wishes, and other family-preparedness information.

Situation, preference, and progress information. We collect answers used to tailor sections, completion status, organizer preferences, and interactions with prompts and features.

Transaction information. Lemon Squeezy processes payments as merchant of record and provides us with information such as purchaser email, order identifier, product, price, transaction date, tax and payment status, and refund status. We do not receive or store your complete payment-card number.

Communications. We collect support messages, privacy requests, complaints, feedback, and information included in those communications.

Device, usage, cookie, and log information. We may collect IP address, browser and device type, operating system, timestamps, referring and requested pages, session and authentication identifiers, error and diagnostic information, feature interactions, and security events.

Optional integration information. If you deliberately connect or use an optional third-party integration, we process the information needed to initiate and complete the action you request, as described at the point of connection.

We collect information directly from you; automatically from your browser, device, and use of the Service; from Lemon Squeezy in connection with transactions; from vendors that operate functions for us; and from a third-party integration when you direct a connection. An account holder may also enter information about family members, children, dependents, contacts, advisers, beneficiaries, executors, guardians, caregivers, or other people.

Organizer content may reveal information considered sensitive under some laws, including health-related circumstances, financial-account context, precise household information, information about children or dependents, citizenship or religious information if voluntarily provided, and personal wishes. We process this information to provide organizer functions requested by the account holder, protect the Service, and comply with law.

We do not use sensitive information to infer characteristics for advertising. Where applicable law requires consent to process sensitive personal data, we will request consent before the relevant processing and provide a method to withdraw it. Withdrawing consent may require deletion of the affected content or may prevent the associated feature from functioning.

Only provide another person's information when you have a lawful basis and any permission reasonably necessary, and limit it to what is relevant. Where appropriate, tell that person about this Policy. We do not use third-party information entered in an organizer to market directly to that person. The account holder controls and is responsible for that submission, subject to our independent legal duties.

The Service is designed not to require passwords, passcodes, PINs, private keys, recovery or seed phrases, full bank-account or payment-card numbers, complete Social Security or government-identification numbers, safe combinations, or alarm codes. Do not enter them. Use a document location, institution name, contact, or last four digits instead. If submitted despite this warning, the information may be stored as organizer content until you remove it or delete the account.

We use personal information to create and authenticate accounts; save, organize, tailor, retrieve, and display organizer content; calculate completion information; generate printable or downloadable materials; administer purchases and refunds; provide support; send account, transaction, security, policy, and service notices; operate optional features you request; detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; debug, maintain, secure, and improve the Service; enforce agreements; establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and comply with legal obligations.

We may create aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be linked to you and use it for lawful operational, analytical, security, and improvement purposes. We will not attempt to re-identify information that applicable law requires us to maintain as de-identified.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, use it for targeted advertising, or use organizer content to train general-purpose artificial-intelligence models. We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects through profiling. If these practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any notice, consent, or opt-out required by law before the change applies.

Service providers. We disclose information to vendors that provide hosting, managed databases, authentication, infrastructure, security, diagnostics, transactional email, customer support, and related operational services. They receive information reasonably necessary for their functions and are expected to process it under contractual and legal restrictions.

Merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy independently processes payment and tax information and provides transaction details needed to grant access, administer purchases, reconcile records, and process refunds.

Optional integrations. At your direction, selected information may be sent to an optional AI assistant or other third-party integration. The provider's terms and privacy notice apply to its processing. A notice should identify the provider and requested data flow before activation.

Legal, security, and safety purposes. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, court order, subpoena, or valid legal process; respond to lawful requests; investigate misuse; protect users, the public, or the Service; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. We assess requests and seek to limit disclosure to what is reasonably required.

Business transactions. Information may be reviewed under confidentiality protections or transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of the business. Any successor remains subject to this Policy unless it gives legally required notice of a change.

At your direction. We disclose information when you request or consent to a disclosure, such as when you export, print, download, or connect information to another service.

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies needed to authenticate users, maintain sessions, remember progress, prevent abuse, balance traffic, and operate the Service. We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Browser settings may allow you to block or delete cookies, but disabling necessary technologies may prevent sign-in or other functions.

If we introduce analytics, session replay, advertising technology, or other non-essential cookies, we will update this Policy and implement any notice or consent controls required before using them.

We generally retain organizer content, profile information, and situation answers while your account remains active so you can return to and update them. When you delete the account, we delete or de-identify account-linked information from active systems, subject to the exceptions below.

We retain transaction, tax, refund, fraud-prevention, and related records for the period reasonably necessary to meet accounting, tax, audit, dispute, and legal requirements. Security, access, error, and diagnostic logs are retained for a limited period appropriate to operational and security needs and may be kept longer when connected to an incident, investigation, legal claim, or legal obligation. Support and privacy-request records are retained as reasonably necessary to document and respond to the request.

Encrypted backups may retain residual copies until overwritten or deleted through ordinary backup rotation. Backup copies are protected, not restored for ordinary account recovery after deletion, and removed according to applicable retention cycles. We determine retention using the purpose of processing, sensitivity, operational necessity, legal duties, security needs, and potential disputes.

You may delete your account by signing in, opening account settings, and completing the confirmation process, or by emailing support@getthelastdetail.com from the account email address. Print or save anything you wish to retain before deletion. Deletion cannot be undone and we cannot restore the organizer after active records are removed.

Deletion removes or de-identifies the authentication record, organizer answers, contact and inventory entries, profile, situation answers, and other account-linked content from active systems. We may retain limited transaction, legal, security, request, de-identified, and backup information as described in this Policy. We may ask for reasonable verification before processing an emailed request.

You may view and correct organizer information within the Service. The document feature allows you to print or save a copy of organizer content. You may also request access, correction, or a portable copy by emailing support@getthelastdetail.com with the subject "Privacy Request." We may ask for information necessary to verify the account and protect against fraudulent requests.

Depending on where you live and subject to legal thresholds, exemptions, and exceptions, you may have the right to confirm whether we process your personal information; access it; correct inaccuracies; delete it; obtain a portable copy; withdraw consent; opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; and appeal a denied request.

To exercise a right, email support@getthelastdetail.com with the subject "Privacy Request," identify the right, and provide the email associated with the account. We will verify the request proportionately and respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

If we deny a request and applicable law provides an appeal, reply to our decision within 30 days with the subject "Privacy Appeal" and explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. We will respond within the legally required period and provide information about contacting the appropriate regulator where required.

Where applicable law permits, an authorized agent may submit a privacy request for you. We may require proof of the agent's authority, confirmation directly from you, and identity verification. We may decline a request when we cannot reasonably verify identity, authority, or the relationship to the information requested.

In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the categories described in Section 2, including identifiers; customer-record information; commercial and transaction information; internet or electronic activity; inferences or situation answers used to tailor the Service; and potentially sensitive personal information contained in organizer content. We collect these categories from the sources in Section 3, use them for the purposes in Section 7, and disclose them to the recipient categories in Section 9.

We have not sold personal information or shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising during that period, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. We do not offer a financial incentive in exchange for personal information. If California law applies to us, residents may exercise applicable rights through the process in Section 14. California coverage depends on statutory thresholds and exemptions.

Because we do not sell personal information or share it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising, an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control does not currently change our practices. If we begin processing information in a manner for which applicable law requires recognition of such a signal, we will honor it and update this Policy.

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly allow a child under 13 to create an account or directly collect personal information from a child under 13. Adults may enter information about their own children or dependents as organizer content. If you believe a child submitted information directly without appropriate authorization, email support@getthelastdetail.com so we can investigate and delete it where required.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for the nature and sensitivity of the information. These include encrypted transmission, provider-managed encryption at rest, authentication and access controls, restricted database access, account-scoped data controls, monitoring, and procedures intended to reduce unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

No internet transmission, storage system, or security measure is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your email and credentials, use a unique password or secure sign-in method, sign out of shared devices, and secure printed and downloaded copies. Promptly report suspected unauthorized access or a security concern to support@getthelastdetail.com. If a security breach requires notice, we will notify affected individuals and authorities as required by applicable law.

A third-party service, including Lemon Squeezy or an optional integration, may collect information directly from you and act independently under its own terms and privacy notice. We encourage you to review those notices before providing information. Links to third-party sites do not mean that we control or endorse their privacy practices.

The Service is operated from the United States and is directed primarily to U.S. users. If you access it from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ. You are responsible for determining whether use is lawful in your location. We do not represent that the Service is configured to satisfy every international privacy regime.

Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no uniform standard governing those signals and we do not use cross-site behavioral advertising, the Service does not currently respond separately to them. We do respond to legally recognized opt-out preference signals when applicable, as described in Section 17.

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the Service, law, security, or privacy practices. We will post the revised Policy and update the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice by email or within the Service where appropriate or required, and we will obtain consent when applicable law requires it.
